Creating a place called Sanctuary Now in the planning process with the City of Stockton, Sanctuary is The Grupe Company’s most innovative community to date.
- Located in Stockton, California, west of I-5 and Hammer Lane
- Features extraordinary natural beauty with unobstructed views of Mount Diablo and is surrounded by 6.5 miles of Delta waterways
- Designed with strong benefits and connections to the surrounding neighborhoods and to the community at large
- Combines diverse new home opportunities with a unique range of amenities
Life in balance is a concept that speaks to the hearts and minds of everyone here at The Grupe Company. In creating some of the nation’s most beautiful master-planned communities over the last 40 years, The Grupe Company has remained true to its core values: to serve the local economy, the community and the environment.
As we have demonstrated with our Lincoln Village West, Quail Lakes and Brookside communities, our master plans are enduring in their appeal. We are proud to continue this tradition at our newest and most innovative community to date: Sanctuary.
As always, we’re starting our planning with the natural features of the land—and this site is rich in natural beauty. Located in Stockton west of I-5 and Hammer Lane, it’s surrounded by Delta waterways and has unobstructed views of Mount Diablo. This is our starting point for a remarkable community planned to celebrate life in balance.
Greenlaw “Fritz” Grupe, Jr. Chief Executive Officer The Grupe Company
Creating living environments that offer a superior quality of life is a goal we all share at The Grupe Company. We have a unique opportunity to confirm our commitment to innovation and quality at Sanctuary. We’re planning an unprecedented range of amenities at Sanctuary—over and above those typically found in a master plan. Concepts under discussion include:
- A “learning community” with excellent schools and life-long learning opportunities
- More active-living amenities such as parks and walking and bicycling trail
- Features that will curb sprawl, reduce pollution and promote “green” building and living
We have begun processing Sanctuary and hope to have the plan approved in early 2008. Though it's early in the process, we want to keep you informed as the plans evolve.
Sanctuary promises to be a remarkable community where residents of all ages will find opportunities to explore and learn, reflect and act, and enjoy a life in balance. Our entire team is excited to continue the Grupe legacy of providing beautiful master-planned communities of lasting value.
